Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 Per annum

About the role:

The Director of Operations is responsible for the leadership and effective delivery of MY Trust's operational services.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director will work closely with the Chief Executive and Director of Finance & Corporate Resources to deliver the Trust's strategy and develop its services. They will provide the Chief Executive and Board with clear assurance about operational performance, compliance and significant risks.

The Director will lead through an operational management team, making sure managers have clear responsibilities and the support they need to deliver their services well. As a senior leader in a relatively small organisation, they will also be expected to understand services in sufficient depth to recognise problems early and become directly involved when their experience or authority is needed.

The role has particular responsibility for operational performance, regulatory compliance, safeguarding, information governance and people leadership. The Director will lead the Trust's operational relationships with commissioners and play a substantial role in developing new opportunities.

Throughout their work, the Director will keep the experience and interests of residents and beneficiaries central to operational decision-making.

About you:

· Significant senior leadership experience at Head of Service, Director, Assistant Director or equivalent level within housing, supported accommodation, health, care or charitable services

· A good working understanding of social housing regulation and the Regulator of Social Housing's Consumer Standards

· Substantial involvement in tenders, funding proposals or the development of new services.

· Senior experience of safeguarding and responding to significant operational concerns.

· Responsibility for operational budgets and experience of working with finance colleagues on planning and financial performance.

· Experience of leading change and improving services
